Meet Tom Jackson

Tom Jackson is an internationally known historical entertainer and a 5th generation native Texan from San Antonio. He graduated from Rice University, Houston, Texas, in 1975 with a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree and from St. Mary’s University in San Antonio, Texas, in 1984 with a Juris Doctor (JD) degree. Tom is a past member and past president of the Sons of the Republic of Texas (SRT), William Barret Travis Chapter No. 7, San Antonio, Texas.

Tom's passion for Texas history is in his blood...literally. Some of his ancestors were veterans of the Texas Revolution and trail drivers of the post-Civil War longhorn cattle drives.

Since 1995, Tom has been showcasing his historical programs, where he dresses up in full-period attire and presents Texas, American, and World history and some of its most important characters. He has performed at various conventions, historical sites, resorts, banquets, schools, and special events. His programs are live and interactive, focusing on leadership, courage, dedication, and patriotism. Tom uses PowerPoint presentations to enhance the educational, entertainment, and motivational value of each program, bringing the characters and eras to life. His passion for studying and appreciating Texas, American, and World history is evident in all his programs, which have a proven record of effectively educating, stimulating, and entertaining people of all ages around the world.
